Golden Plains Trucking Inc. started in August of 1982. Its founding fathers were Glenn Unrein, Steve Shauers, Steve Haselhorst, and Wayne Gabel. It began back in the day where authority was more than just a piece of paper and had value. Golden Plains has weathered the storm of everything from deregulation to high fuel costs and a major change in its traffic lane. It has grown to what it is today, a diversified company made up of owner operators that specialize in the transportation of cattle and hopper bottom commodities. It attributes its success to its very experienced owner operators and Glenn Unrein, company founder and President.
